Junk in the Trunk

I was unloading the car yesterday and when I opened the trunk I just had to start laughing. The contents really summarized what my life is all about at the moment. Here's what was crammed in there:

-my bike...I've been riding quite a lot lately in preparation for my triathlon in September. I've been mountain biking weekly with the Dirt Divas (an awesome women's only MB group) and I've also been riding/pulling bike trailers with a mommy friend to practice some of the steep hills in our neighborhood.

-an extra carseat...the boys are at the age now where we're starting to do more and more car pooling, kid swapping and playdates. Next stop is an SUV with a 3rd row of seats because it's only going to get busier as they get older.

-groceries from Target. Just like every other stay-at-home-mom, I feel like I live at Target. Thank goodness it's a SuperTarget and I can buy groceries and clothes for me all in one stop!

What do the contents of your trunk/car say about you?

Pretty soon you can add a potty to that list :) It's always funny when the kids say "I need to go potty" and I say, "Then go to the car" :) Yes, even the older kids find the car potty convenient ;)

Nic... you are so funny!! I don't know what my trunk says about me... let's see I have a blow up bed, a griddle, shoes and god only knows what else...... and I'm only driving a hyundai accent :-)) Miss you guys!!

P.S. I finally logged on so I can make comments... I'm thinking about back tracking and making comments on all the before blogs... keep checking back to see if I get to that!!

So funny! I can add a stroller, roll of paper towels, and a bag of mulch... Strange combo!

The only thing in my trunk is an umbrella and an extra strap for our car seat. Hmmm, what does that say about me? Is my life empty? hee hee. So far my little Honda Civic has been big enough for my family of 3 but I don't know how we're going to put the potty in it (like Megan mentioned) for Ty to use without everyone seeing what's doing. Then there is carpooling (like you mentioned)...can't fit very many kids!

Hmmm, let's see- some work stuff that I stored there when my office was being renovated in Dec., that I clearly don't need, b/c they never made it back-stroller& various greengrocery/cooler bags,umbrella....now if you asked what was in the back seat with the kids that would be a whole other story, resembling the remnants of a tornado, unfortunately! :)(books, toys, wipes, diapers, snack cups, etc.

we don't have much exciting in our 'trunk' - reusable grocery bags (one of each from 5 different stores!), an umbrella, an extra leash/ball/treats for Willow, and 2light jackets for me & Peyton because you never know when you'll need one here in windy Chicago! Now, if you had asked what we have in our Suburban?...well, that's a whole different story! OOH, maybe that's a future blog post for me! I only have the one child but it looks like several live in there!
