On Friday we went strawberry picking with the MOMS Club. It's by far the most popular event we do each year. I dressed the boys in red shirts not for cute photos, but instead to minimize the stains. I have to say my plan worked quite well!
Despite being overcast and very muggy it was a great day for picking...the sun even came out for a while. We picked berries, went on a wagon ride and then hit the farm store for the kids to get their own cups of homemade strawberry ice cream. Unfortunately both boys have inherited my obsession with ice cream, so there weren't many handouts for me! Will was very serious about his strawberry picking this year...what a big difference it makes between picking at 3 and picking at age 4. Alex on the other hand was all about eating the berries. He would pick one, meticulously pull off the leaves and shove the whole (usually HUGE) berry in his mouth with juice oozing down his chin. Thank goodness for the red t-shirt to hide all the evidence!
