Mother's Day 2008

All I can say is that Mother's Day came at the absolutely perfect time this year. I was desperately in need of a day off and it couldn't have been scripted any better! My morning started with homemade asparagus/red pepper quiche in bed. Which I enjoyed breakfast and the newspaper, Scott fed the boys breakfast. After we all played for a bit, Will & Scott put me & Alex down for a naps and headed to Starbucks. I awoke to the smell of a White Chocolate Mocha (decaf, non fat) on the nightstand. We played a bit longer and then I got ready for the second part of my Mother's Day treat...a intro to rock climbing class at the US National Whitewater Center. During the 2 hour class we learned terminology, techniques and got to try it out. What a workout! Meanwhile, Scott took the boys to lunch and picked me up a salad along the way. Then we headed home to get ready for Mum & Dad to come over for supper. Scott whipped up an awesome (and HUGE) Beef tenderloin, onion roasted potatoes and baked asparagus. YUM. My perfect day was topped off with a relaxing night in the jacuzzi. I feel recharged and think I'm ready to tackle another year of motherhood head on!

Wow, your husband sure gave you an awesome day!!!! After promises of breakfast in bed this year, I realized the only time I'll ever get breakfast in bed is if I have another baby ;) (You know, in the hospital during that wonderful time when people are serving you every meal in bed :)
