Carolina Snow Day!

We had our first snow of 2009 on Tuesday! It was only a really light dusting, but for a Canadian girl who's in need of her snow-fix, it counts. With preschool canceled, the boys and I got dressed in our "cozies" and had a lazy breakfast. Then we dug thru our collection of hats, mitts, scarfs and boots. I'm glad we don't have weather like this more often because it took us at least 15 minutes to get our gear on! When we finally got outside, we had a blast. The hit was my 25+ year old red "magic carpet" toboggan that Grandma had dug out of her attic for us a few weeks earlier. After about an hour outside playing with the neighbors (who moved from Colorado) we were cold, wet and ready for some hot chocolate. By noon, the snow had melted. We did pretty well though, and I think we're ready for the real thing when we head up to Chicago in a few weeks to visit the Hines'.
