For the first two weeks of August, we beat the heat and headed up to Nova Scotia to visit Scott's family. The weather was perfect, low to mid-seventy's the majority of the time and low humidity. We hadn't been back as a family for 2 years. It's amazing how much things have changed...there's lots of cute new shops and restaurants.
We spent the majority of our time in Halifax, except for one day/night when Scott and I ventured out of the city to go Tidal Bore Rafting. I didn't get any photos while rafting or mud sliding but here's a sample YouTube video so you get the idea.

We played "tourist" in Halifax too, I took Alex for a tour on "Theodore Tugboat" and Scott took will on the "Harbour Hopper" which is a frog vehicle that goes on land and then into the water. I think they both enjoyed themselves. I'll post pictures from our trip soon!
